“ …The reason I was able to stay in San Diego for so long was that I scored a house-sitting job. Someone had a house for sale and they needed somebody to stay in it. So I stayed and the house didn’t sell for two years. So I basically landed this rent-free house for two years. I found one of the first things I was doing was sleeping the entire day. I would get up in the afternoon and go to the coffee shops and hang out there all night. I was so happy. ‘Sleep All Day’ was the first song I wrote when I got to San Diego.
